Sales Engineer

Qualification: BE in Mechanical engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed college. Knowledge of CAD / CAM is preferable

Location :  Bangalore. Reporting to the Sales Manager

Experience: 2-3  years in selling capital equipment (related to sheet metal and laser-cutting industries).

Package:  As per industry standards

The overall responsibilities include:
·  Generate enquiries and follow-up on existing customers
·  Do the initial groundwork for discussions on sales
·  Gain thorough product knowledge
·  Responsible for achieving sales targets set by management
·  Present the product and sell
·  Visiting potential customers to prospect for new business
·  Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales
·  Liaising with principals to check on the progress of existing orders
·  Checking quantities of goods on display and in stock
·  Recording sales and order information and sending copies to the sales coordinator
·  Reporting back to product / senior managers
·  Maintaining case files and paperwork with admin support
·  Work within parameters set by the Company
·  Representing the organization at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
·  Maintaining detailed knowledge of the company’s products or services

·  Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers via meetings, telephone calls and emails
·  Prospecting for new customers – develop the customer base

·  Gaining a clear understanding of customers’ businesses and requirements;
·  Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations – with support of management
·  Negotiating variations in price, delivery and specifications with managers
·  Reviewing own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
·  Feeding future buying trends back to employers.
